Took me 4 months to admit Procore was worth the price tag
I fought our office manager on the $500/month subscription for a year, kept saying our spreadsheets worked fine. Then after we switched, I timed a single RFI cycle at 45 minutes instead of the usual 3 hours. Has anyone else seen their submittal review time actually drop after switching to a centralized platform?

Oh man, that RFI time drop is wild. 45 minutes vs 3 hours is a huge difference, bet that alone pays for the subscription in saved labor. We had the same debate here, stuck with spreadsheets for way too long. Seeing those big projects actually move faster now makes me wonder why we waited so long to switch.

Honestly, the "took me 4 months to admit" part is hilarious because those spreadsheets feel like a safety blanket until you actually time how long things take. Ngl, I was the same way, told my PM he was crazy for wanting to spend that much, then he showed me the numbers. 45 minutes vs 3 hours is basically a free half day back every time you deal with an RFI, that's insane. But yeah, the whole "spreadsheets worked fine" argument is a joke when you realize you've been spending 6 hours a week doing stuff a program does in 20 minutes. Tbh, I still miss the thrill of triple checking formulas, said nobody ever.
