TIL my project management software was double-booking my crew for 3 weeks straight
I run a small crew doing residential framing outside Austin. Last month I kept showing up to job sites with half the guys missing or at the wrong address. At first I blamed the foreman but then I checked the schedule myself. Turns out the software I've been using since March was glitching and assigning workers to overlapping shifts. It took me looking at three weeks of calendar data side by side to spot the pattern. I switched to a simple spreadsheet for now until I find something more reliable. Has anyone else had a software bug mess up their crew assignments this bad?

Holy crap, three weeks is a long time for that kind of glitch to go unnoticed. That must have been a nightmare to dig through.
