Saw a jobsite in Nashville where the super ran everything off a tablet taped to a clipboard
I was walking past a mid-rise going up near 8th Ave in Nashville last Tuesday and watched a super check rebar spacing off a tablet zip tied to a beat up clipboard. He said the company dropped the paper plan sets 3 months ago and he swears he saves about 45 minutes a day not running back to the trailer for revisions. The thing that got me was he still keeps a red pencil behind his ear for marking up the wood forms. I get why some guys won't give up paper, but watching him pinch-zoom a detail while standing in the mud made me rethink it. Anyone else seen crews actually make the switch stick, or does it die once the office stops pushing it?
