Pro tip: your Procore punch list photos are probably not syncing right now
I keep seeing crews in my area upload photos to a punch list item, but they're not actually attaching to the right location in the project. It's because the app caches the list and you need to manually refresh it before you start taking pictures. We lost a full day of work on a Denver site last month because of this, thinking issues were documented when they weren't. Has anyone else run into this specific sync bug with field photos?

Oh man, this reminds me of how people treat their smart home stuff the same way. Everyone I know has that one friend who sets up a smart light or a thermostat and then swears it's broken when it doesn't do what they want. Nine times out of ten they just didn't pair it right or forgot to update the app. It's like we all expect tech to read our minds and fix everything for us, but the simple steps still matter. Same thing happens with my car's backup camera - people blame the sensor but really they just need to wipe the lens off once in a while. We're all guilty of skipping the basics and then getting mad at the machine.

Are you sure it's a sync bug and not just user error? I've used Procore on dozens of sites and never had that happen. Sounds like someone didn't get the right training on how to select the punch item first. Maybe your Denver crew just rushed through it and blamed the software. I always double-check the item name before I take a photo, it's basic stuff. Sometimes people look for a tech problem when the real issue is skipping simple steps.

Multiple crews in different cities all having the same photo sync issue across different projects. What are the odds that many different people all skipped the same simple step?
