Our project in Tacoma had a major schedule clash because two subs updated the same file offline.

The concrete pour got delayed a day while we sorted it out. How do you guys handle sync conflicts on shared schedules?

Actually think offline edits are better sometimes. That delay gave everyone time to double check the whole schedule. Real time sync just causes people to rush and make more mistakes. A forced pause to talk it out face to face can prevent bigger problems later.

Yeah, but that offline lag can also let bad ideas set in without anyone catching them.

Yeah, I'll admit I used to be all about that real time sync life, figured faster was always better. But @sethc12 you and troy996 have a point - last year we had a similar situation with our framing schedule, and the offline lag actually caught a huge ordering mistake before the lumber got delivered. The forced pause and face to face meeting saved us from a costly reorder, so now I'm leaning more towards a deliberate offline review window before syncing everything up.
