Had a nightmare week with takeoff software on a condo job

Last Monday my estimating platform kept freezing during a 45-unit condo takeoff in Phoenix. Lost 3 hours of measurements because the auto-save didn't trigger. Anyone else's software crash right when you need it most?

Yeah man that auto-save thing is the worst. Bluebeam does the same crap to me all the time. I just set a timer on my phone now to manual save every 10 minutes.

Oh man, tell me about it! Auto-save has betrayed me more times than I care to count. I've lost whole lesson plans because the program decided to "save" right as my laptop battery died. The timer trick is smart, I might have to steal that from you. There's just something about watching those progress bars that makes me nervous, you know?

Ngl I'm gonna go the other way on this one. Auto-save has saved my bacon more times than I can count, especially back in my early days when I'd get distracted and forget to hit save for like an hour. My old boss had a Dell laptop from 2008 that would just hard crash with zero warning, and auto-save was the only reason he didn't lose entire blueprints. Honestly, I think the real problem is that people blame the feature instead of their own bad habits. If you're relying on auto-save to cover for you not saving manually for 20 minutes, that's on you, not the program.
