Choosing between a full Procore setup and a simpler scheduling app for a small remodel

I went with the simpler app to manage the 4-month kitchen job and it kept things moving without the learning curve. Has anyone else found a basic tool works better for smaller projects?

Four months for a kitchen reno is a pretty standard job. Procore is total overkill for something that size, like using a sledgehammer to hang a picture. The basic app gets the job done without all the extra cost and hassle.

Yeah the "sledgehammer to hang a picture" thing is spot on. My buddy's contractor insisted on using a huge system for a bathroom remodel, said it was "pro level." It was a nightmare, constant notifications for every single tiny update, he had to log in just to approve a different brand of grout. Felt like they were building a skyscraper, not a shower. He spent more time dealing with the app than actually talking to the crew.
