Appreciation post: That cheap estimating software I was sure would crash and burn

Tried out Buildertrend's basic tier last year. $99 a month. Thought it'd be junk. But after 3 months of using it for our small crew in Austin, it actually stopped double bookings. No missed material orders. My foreman even said "this thing saved my back from hauling paper plans." I was wrong. Anyone else swallow their pride on a budget tool that worked?

Software that actually works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? That's like finding a unicorn that pays its taxes on time. Glad it worked out for you.

You ever notice how the expensive stuff sometimes just gets in the way? This proves cheap doesn't have to mean half-baked.
