Went to the old Denver airport and saw something that made me think twice

I was there last week and noticed the weird murals in the baggage claim area are way more faded than anything else. The paint on the walls around them looks fresh, but the art itself is peeling and old. It's like they're letting those specific pictures fall apart on purpose. Has anyone else seen this and wondered if it's a quiet way to phase out the 'conspiracy' artwork?

My buddy got weirded out there last year. He said the same thing about the murals looking intentionally run down. It felt like a quiet choice to let them rot.

The floor around the murals was just redone with shiny new tile. That fresh grout makes the peeling paint on the kids' faces in the mural look even worse. It's a crazy contrast that can't be an accident. They're spending money to fix everything except the art everyone talks about. Letting it rot is a message, plain and simple.
