That 2017 census stat about mail-in ballots still bugs me
I stumbled on a breakdown of the 2017 special election in Georgia's 6th district and it claimed mail-in ballots had a 1.8% rejection rate there, mostly for signature mismatches. The source was a state election board PDF, not some blog. I started digging and found the other side says those rejections were just clerical errors, not fraud. But the stat makes me wonder, how many close races hinge on that tiny percent? Has anyone else looked into rejection rates in their own county?
