PSA: My neighborhood forum post about a 'planned power flicker' got deleted within 20 minutes, and I want to know why
So two Tuesdays ago around 8pm, there was a power flicker across maybe six blocks of my neighborhood in Columbus, and the utility company said it was a scheduled grid test with no notice given. I posted about it in our local Facebook group asking if anyone else caught the same thing, and my post was gone before I could even get a reply, with zero explanation from the admins. I screenshotted the timestamp and message, and honestly it's the swift removal that bugs me more than the flicker itself, because a simple test doesn't need to be scrubbed from a neighborhood group. A friend on the next street said her post got taken down too, so that's at least two of us in under half an hour. I'm not saying it's some huge cover up, but I'd really like to hear if other people have seen posts about local grid work vanish just as fast. Has anyone else had a mod or admin pull a worryingly normal post with no warning, and did you ever get a straight answer about why?
