Old airport scanner docs made me rethink the whole TSA screening debate

Back in 2014 I dug through some declassified FAA test reports from the 90s about passenger screening tech. The radars and x-ray specs were outdated even then, but the failure rates they logged were way higher than what the official summary claimed. I tried cross-checking the numbers with a public safety database in Ohio and found the same gaps. It made me wonder if the current security theater arguments miss the real issue of outdated equipment. Has anyone else gone down that rabbit hole with actual archives instead of news clips?
