Looking back at my $400 'truth' subscription that went nowhere
I mean, back in 2020 I got really into this one channel that promised insider docs about, well, you know, everything. I paid like $40 a month for almost a year for their 'premium archive'. It was just the same rehashed PDFs you could find for free if you dug around a bit. Felt pretty dumb when I finally canceled. Anyone else get stuck paying for info that turned out to be junk?

Honestly, the "lazy Google search" part is what I see different. Sometimes paying is about the time you save, not just the raw info. Digging for those free PDFs takes hours. If someone puts them all in one spot for you, that's a service, even if the docs themselves are out there. The real problem is when they lie and say the docs are exclusive. Paying for convenience isn't always dumb, it's a choice.

Yeah, honestly that's exactly it. People act like time isn't worth anything, but it totally is. I've been there too, paid for a bundle of resources I could have dug up myself if I had a whole weekend to burn. And that's the kicker, you're not paying for the info, you're paying for the hours you would have spent sifting through garbage search results and dead links. It stings when you realize it's not exclusive, but honestly it's not the biggest crime in the world either.

Oof, that's a rough one. Sounds like you paid a premium price for someone else's lazy Google search. I guess the real insider info was how easily they got into your wallet. At least you figured it out before hitting the two year mark.
