Just realized my 'bad luck' week with 3 cancellations was actually the same week a competitor was quoting jobs in my area
Had a week where 3 scheduled moves cancelled on me in 2 days, all saying family stuff came up. Then a guy at the gas station asked if I knew who was handing out flyers near the storage units on Route 9. Turns out a new outfit was undercutting everyone by about $200 a job. I sat down with the dates and two of those cancellations lined up exactly with their flyer drop. Maybe it is a coincidence, but the timing is weird enough that I started writing down who calls and when. Anyone else notice patterns like this in their area or am I reading too much into it?

Keep a log of every quote you give and ask each caller how they heard about you.
