I was reading about the 1961 Goldsboro B-52 crash and the safety switch thing
I found out that one of the two nuclear bombs it dropped was just one simple switch away from going off. I read the declassified report online. How many other close calls like that do you think got covered up?

That "one simple switch" detail is the scariest part. It makes you wonder if the real number of close calls is way higher than what's public. They only declassify stuff when they absolutely have to, so we're probably only seeing the tip of the iceberg. The cover-ups likely aren't even evil plans, just standard bureaucracy keeping scary secrets quiet.

Trust the process, they declassify for a reason.

I remember reading about that 1980 Damascus Titan missile incident where a socket fell and caused a massive explosion. The fact that one wrench almost wiped out half of Arkansas is proof enough that we're flying blind on a lot of this stuff. You just know there's a whole stack of similar reports sitting in some file cabinet that nobody wants to touch. It's not a conspiracy, it's just people being lazy and not wanting to deal with the fallout of telling the truth.
