It's wild how many basic facts we just assume everyone knows. Makes you wonder what else we're missing.

What basic facts we just assume everyone knows" - seriously though, that line hit me hard. I can't believe we're at a point where you have to explain to a student that the moon landing actually happened, I thought that was just settled history.
