I finally asked my uncle why he stopped watching moon landing stuff, his answer was not what I expected

My uncle has been deep into the moon landing debate for like 10 years and last month at a cookout in Fresno I asked him why he doesn't bring it up at family stuff anymore. He said he realized he couldn't name a single new piece of evidence he'd found in 5 years, just the same 6 or 7 points recycled, and that scared him more than any coverup would. Do you guys ever check yourself like that, or is that just giving up on a topic you actually believe has something to it?
