Can we talk about tap water vs filtered water for making coffee?
I spent 3 weeks testing straight tap water from my sink in Phoenix against a $30 Brita pitcher for my morning pour-over. The difference was insane - the filtered stuff actually let the coffee taste like the bag said it should. With tap I got this weird chlorine taste every time no matter what beans I used. My buddy swore it was all in my head so I did a blind test with him and he picked the filtered one every single try. Has anyone else noticed a huge difference or am I just overthinking this? What water do you guys use?

Phoenix tap water ruined my coffee too until I switched to a Brita.

Bet you didn't know it's the chloramine levels, that's what stays in the water and kills coffee flavor even when it looks clear. Filters with catalytic carbon are the only ones that actually take it out.
