Bought a $180 EMP-proof faraday bag for my phone and I think I wasted my cash
Two months back I grabbed one of those military grade faraday bags off a prepper site for $180 because some guy on YouTube swore a solar flare was coming in 2024. I tested it with my phone inside, and calls still came through in my basement, so either the bag is junk or the whole threat is overblown. The company says you have to seal it perfect, but I sealed it perfect and my wifi still worked two rooms away. Now I'm wondering if the real deal is just an ammo can lined with foil for $12. Anyone here actually test a faraday setup that blocked a real signal, and what did you use?
