Went from hating motion controls on the Wii to wanting them back, and it only took about 8 years
I dug my old Wii out of my parents' garage in Boise last month and played Wii Sports Resort for 4 hours straight, and honestly swinging my arm beat sitting on the couch with a PS5 pad. Does anyone else miss when every console tried something weird instead of just fighting over who has the sharper picture?
Totally with you on this. I did the same thing with my old Wii a couple years back and bowling with the remote felt more fun than half the stuff I play now. The Switch kinda brought some of that back with the joy cons but nobody really uses them that way. I miss when consoles had weird gimmicks like the Dreamcast VMU or the EyeToy on PS2, even when they flopped it was fun to see companies try stuff. Now it's just who has the best graphics and framerate and it's kinda boring. Swinging your arm for four hours sounds about right, my shoulder was sore the next day and I didn't even care.
