Vent: told my friend I was using aim assist wrong in Halo and it threw off my whole rhythm
I was playing some Infinite with a buddy last month, and he noticed my aim assist was set to something weird for controller. He said I should switch to the default setting and practice with it for a week. I argued at first because I liked my setup, but after three days of trying his way, my shot was way more consistent. Has anyone else had a friend's advice mess with your muscle memory at first but pay off later?

Did you ever go back to your old setting just to see if it felt weird after you got used to the new one? I did the same thing with my sensitivity and now my old setup feels like garbage.

ugh @spencer_johnson22 same here lol. tried my old sens last week and it felt like i was moving through mud, couldnt hit a single shot.
