That Walmart employee showed me how splitscreen still works on the new Xbox

I was at a Walmart in Tulsa last Saturday and a random employee fired up Halo on the display unit and let me grab a controller to play splitscreen right there, has anyone else found hidden co-op modes in newer games that actually still work on the same console?

Wait, did that employee also show you the secret handshake to unlock it or is this just some rogue Walmart legend I should know about? Last time I tried that at a Best Buy the kid unplugged the whole console to "reset" it on me. Makes me wonder how many "broken" display units out there are actually just hiding splitscreen mode like a treasure chest.

Did you have to sign a waiver in blood or is this a normal Walmart employee thing? Because last time I asked for help at the electronics section, they sent me a guy who just pointed at the display and walked away. I get it though, I'm not exactly the picture of a hardcore gamer either. I show up looking like I just rolled out of bed, ask about co-op, and they probably think I'm trying to scam them into unlocking a cheat code or something. Honestly, I'm just glad someone else found a working splitscreen mode because I thought those were a myth at this point. My own kid doesn't even believe me when I tell him we used to play four players on one TV.
