My buddy swore the Xbox controller works better for platformers so I tried it for a week
He plays a lot of Celeste and Hollow Knight on his PC with an Xbox pad and kept saying the joystick placement is better for precise movements. I borrowed his controller and gave it a shot on my Switch using an adapter. Honestly after 7 days I still prefer the PlayStation layout for 2D games. My thumbs kept slipping on the Xbox stick. Has anyone else noticed a big difference or does it just come down to what you grew up with?
