Found a setup trick that fixed my Xbox drift issue without spending a dime

I was about to buy a new controller when someone said try recalibrating in the Windows settings instead. Has anyone else gotten a few more months out of their gear with just software tweaks?

Wait isn't there also a dead zone slider in the Xbox accessories app? I saw a video where a guy bumped his up just a tiny bit and it fixed the drift on his Elite controller. The software recalibration thing is hit or miss depending on how bad the wear is though, sometimes it's just a temporary fix.

Ngl, bumping the dead zone up a tiny bit fixed my old Xbox One controller's drift too and it held up for months.
