A guy in a Mario Kart lobby told me to stop spamming items, and he was right
Last month I was racing on Rainbow Road and kept getting hit because I always held my items until the last second. This random player in the lobby said in chat "you die with your mushrooms in your hand every time" and honestly that stuck with me. Now I use them when I see trouble coming instead of saving them for the perfect moment, and I've gone from finishing 8th to consistently top 4. Has anyone else gotten racing advice from a total stranger that actually worked?

Holding items is the classic newbie trap. That random guy was spitting facts. Sitting on a mushroom or shell for the perfect moment usually means you never get to use it at all, and you eat three reds anyway. Learn to dump them early and you climb the ranks fast.
