Used calcium chloride on a cold pour last week and the surface crumbled in 3 days
I figured it would speed up the set but the finish went brittle and started flaking off, has anyone else had bad luck with accelerators in damp weather?

In my experience calcium chloride can be real touchy with cold damp conditions. You might have overshot the dosage a bit, or the moisture just trapped the salts near the surface. Your mileage may vary but I've had better luck with non-chloride accelerators in wet weather, they're a little more forgiving.

Learned that lesson the hard way too, guess I paid for the faster set with a crumbly driveway.
