That time a sudden rainstorm hit our pour at the new school in Springfield
We had to scramble to cover 40 yards with plastic sheeting and tarps before it set wrong. Has anyone found a good way to check weather radar on site that actually works?

Fiona's right that the basic site works, but I mean, the delay on those free radars can be brutal. I started checking the local news station's own app because they use a closer radar tower. It's maybe a minute or two faster, which is everything when you're staring at fresh concrete.

Wait aren't you mixing up Fiona and Wyatt's comments? Wyatt said the free radars have a brutal delay, not Fiona. But anyway I started using RadarScope after a buddy on another crew recommended it. Yeah it costs like ten bucks but it pulls straight from the actual NOAA data feeds so there's zero lag compared to those phone apps. The free ones are always a few minutes behind which is useless when you're trying to time a pour. I keep my phone in a ziplock bag on site and just check it every 15 minutes during the warmer months when storms pop up out of nowhere.

What app do you use? I just pull up the basic weather channel site on my phone, it's usually close enough.
