That $40 hand float outworked my $300 power trowel on a small pad
Overheard a guy at the supply yard in Tacoma bragging about his power trowel for every job. Tried it on a 6x8 patio slab last Tuesday. Way too much machine for that space. Hand float got a better finish in half the time. People act like engine size beats skill on little pours. Anyone else keep a cheap magnesium float handy for small work?

The float gives you feel, the trowel just makes noise.
