Talked to a young concrete finisher at a job site last week

I was hiring on a helper for a driveway pour over in St. Louis, and this kid maybe 22 years old told me he never uses a bull float. He said it leaves too much water on the surface and causes dusting later. I have used a bull float for 30 years on every pour I have done. Has anyone else tried skipping the bull float and just going straight to a darby?
