Slab edge crumbled on a Friday, customer watched it happen

Last month I was finishing a small patio pour in Tacoma and the edge on the walkway form just gave out when I was running the edger. The concrete was still pretty wet so it sagged and crumbled about a foot and a half, and the homeowner was standing right there with her coffee. I didn't try to hide it or smooth it over. I told her straight up it was my fault for not bracing that form corner better, then I shoveled out the bad spot and re-poured that section on the spot. Took an extra 45 minutes and she watched the whole repair, even asked why I didn't just plaster over it. I explained that patching over wet concrete that moved is a guaranteed crack later. She ended up tipping me $40 and asked for my card for her sister's driveway. Has anyone else had to re-pour a section right in front of the client, and did it go better or worse than you expected?
