Serious question, I thought those new polymer sealers were just a gimmick for years.

My crew in Austin used one on a driveway in June, and it held up way better than the old acrylic stuff through the whole summer heat. The homeowner sent me a picture after a heavy rain last month and the water was still beading like new. What's the best brand you guys have actually used for hot climates?

Yeah, the new stuff is no joke. We tried a couple brands on some commercial lots down here in Florida, and the sun just eats the old sealers alive. The poly stuff from ArmorSeal actually made it through a full year without that chalky fade. Their base coat matters more than the brand name sometimes.

Base coat is everything. Learned that the hard way in Arizona.

Prep work is key, like jesse_barnes37 said.
