Pro tip: I found out the exact temperature window for a perfect finish on a big pour

Read it in an old trade manual from the 80s, says 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit is the sweet spot to avoid crazing. Anyone else have a go-to temp range they swear by?

That old manual is spot on. I've been doing this for twenty years and I still aim for 68 degrees on the nose for any big flat work. It gives you just enough time to get a good finish before it starts to set. If it creeps above 75, I see shrinkage cracks every single time. Keeping it in that range is the difference between a job you're proud of and a callback.

Right? @matthew_owens9 knows that sweet spot is everything.

68 degrees is my magic number too, I've never had a crack when I stick to it.
