Pro tip: Check your air hose fittings before a big pour
Had a blowout on a 40 yard slab last Tuesday. Fitting let go right at the bull float handle, compressor went dead. Lost about 20 minutes messing with a spare hose. Realized my quick connects were worn down to nothing. Checked the others on the truck, 3 more were loose. Anybody else swap these out on a schedule or just run em til they fail?

Maybe its just me but I've run quick connects for years past when they start feeling loose and never had one fail mid-pour. Sounds like that fitting was just a dud more than a systemic thing.

@riverp37 I get the logic but I think you're missing something small here. The issue isn't just that it felt loose, it's that a loose fitting can actually let air sneak in around the seal. That tiny gap might not cause a big blowout but it can mess with carbonation or make the beer pour foamy over time. So even if it doesn't fail dramatically, a worn quick connect is never doing you any favors. Have you ever noticed any off flavors or foam issues after running one that felt a bit wiggly?
