Last Thursday I had a pour go bad because the mix was too wet and I couldn't figure out why until I checked the truck's water meter

Turns out the driver had accidentally dumped an extra 15 gallons in before he even got to my site, and by the time I noticed the slurry pooling it was too late to save the slab, has anyone else had a driver mess with the water without telling you?

Matthew, that's a good question to ask, but I'd want to know a bit more about this driver's usual habits. Has this guy ever dumped extra water on you before, or was this a one-time mistake? I've seen a few drivers over the years who think they're helping out by adding a little water to make the pour easier, but they don't understand how it screws up the mix design. A 15 gallon jump is a lot. That's not just a splash, that's a full on water dump. Did the driver at least offer to get a re-tempering batch or try to fix it after you found out?

Wait, the driver just dumped 15 extra gallons without saying a word? That's insane, I'd be furious if someone messed with my mix like that and I didn't catch it till it was too late.
