Had to choose between a power trowel and a walk-behind for a 4000 sq ft patio job. Went with the walk-behind. The extra time was worth the control on the stamped pattern.

Used to swear by a power trowel for anything over 3000 feet. Thought it was all about speed. Did a big stamped driveway last year and the pattern got washed out in a couple spots. Saw the difference. Now I get it. Control beats fast every time for that finish.
