Finally gave that spray-on curing compound a real shot
Always thought it was just a gimmick for big crews, but after a solo garage pour last Tuesday, it saved me hours of messing with plastic sheeting. The finish stayed perfectly even with zero plastic marks. What's your go-to method for curing in tight spaces?

Honestly I've had the total opposite experience with that stuff. Tried it on a small slab last fall and it left these weird patchy spots where it didn't spray even. Ended up with surface cracks in those areas. Ngl, I'm back to using wet burlap for anything where I can't get plastic down right. It's more work to keep it wet, but the cure is just way more reliable for me.

That spray needs a second coat after 15 minutes.

Yeah I had that same patchy problem until I started spraying way slower than the can says. Tbh the directions rush you and it doesn't bond right. You gotta do a super light first coat, let it get tacky, then hit it again before it dries all the way. It's still not perfect though, I keep burlap around for critical pours because you're right, it's just more consistent.
