Appreciation post: a landscaper in Denver made me see my work differently

I was finishing a patio last week and the landscaper, a guy named Mark, said he always looks for the finisher's 'signature' in the broom lines. He said a good finish tells him the crew cared about the whole project, not just their part. It hit different because I usually just think about getting a flat, hard surface, not the story it tells after I leave. Has anyone else had a client or another trade point out something about your finish you never considered?

Ever notice how a clean primer coat makes the trim guy's cut-in lines look perfect?

Remember my buddy's tile work? A painter told him the grout lines were so straight it made her whole job easier.

That part about the "story it tells after I leave" is so real.
