That USB-C hub with a built-in NVMe slot I was sure would be garbage
Picked up one of those no-name hubs on AliExpress for $45 that has an NVMe slot built in, fully expecting it to fry my laptop. Four months of daily use later it's still running cool and actually hitting 900MB/s reads, which is wild for the price. Anyone else take a gamble on cheap gear that actually worked out?

Bought a $20 bluetooth dongle off Wish that still works somehow, which I'm honestly annoyed about.

Three years ago I bought a $10 one from Amazon and it died in two weeks. Figured cheap dongles were a total waste after that. But then I saw @fisher.diana mention this and I was curious. Picked one up myself just to test it and I gotta admit it's been going strong for six months now. Your mileage may vary but this one actually changed my mind about the whole budget electronics thing.
