That one customer who taught me about capacitor plague
Back in 2006 I had a guy come into my shop with a Dell Optiplex that kept blue screening. He wouldn't let me just swap it, wanted me to actually fix it. I popped it open and saw like 8 bulging capacitors on the board. He pointed at them and said see, that's your problem. I had never even noticed those things could go bad before. Still remember him walking me through how to read the date codes on them. Has anyone else had a customer actually teach you something useful?

A buddy of mine who does IT work had a similar thing happen with a bad batch of motherboards back in the day. Customer pointed out the swollen caps before he even noticed them himself.
