Shoutout to the guy who sold me a refurbished hard drive on Craigslist

Bought a 4TB "server pull" drive from some guy in Arlington for $30. He said it was tested and working. Got it home, ran a quick format, and it showed 4TB. Two weeks later, my PC starts freezing. Turns out the drive was a fake - hacked firmware to report wrong capacity. Lost about 200GB of game saves and random files before I caught it. Anyone else get scammed by those fake capacity drives?

Haha "tested and working" - tested to lie to your computer maybe. Did you at least get a good coaster out of it?

That 8gb card they listed for $60? I checked ebay sold listings and they go for like $35 @wells.morgan. Not really "tested and working" when you're marking it up that much.
