Shoutout to the CompTIA A+ study group at the Dayton library that finally made subnetting click for me
I sat through 3 different YouTube courses on subnetting and still blanked every time a customer asked me to set up a VLAN. Last Tuesday the group at the library on Third Street walked me through it with a whiteboard and 15 minutes of practice, and I got 9 out of 10 right on the spot. Turns out everyone I asked online was overcomplicating the mask math. What finally made subnetting stick for you, a class, a coworker, or just grinding it out solo?

My buddy swore by subnetting practice on paper until his coworker showed him the binary trick.
