Reversed my stance on refurbished hardware after a visit to a recycling center in Cleveland last weekend

I went to drop off some old towers at a local e-waste place and saw a guy testing a rack of Dell Optiplexes that were all under $100 each... they were running perfectly with new SSDs. It made me realize how much usable gear gets thrown out when businesses upgrade. Has anyone else had good luck buying refurbished for clients on a budget?

Those Optiplexes actually usually have spinning drives not SSDs.

Are you serious? I thought by now most of those older office machines would have been upgraded to at least a small SSD. Running Windows 10 or 11 on a mechanical drive is just painful to watch.
