Just realized most people are wrong about thermal paste application methods
Been working on PCs for about 12 years now, and I keep seeing people argue that the pea method is the only way to go. But after testing it on a Ryzen 7 5800X last week, I found the spread method actually gave me 3 degrees cooler temps under load. The key is using just enough to cover the IHS evenly, not too thick. I think the pea method leaves gaps on larger chips, which matters more than people want to admit. Has anyone else run actual temp tests comparing the two methods?

It's like everything else people overthink, we just parrot what we heard first instead of actually testing it ourselves.
