Had a client's server room AC fail in the middle of a Phoenix summer, thought we were toast.

It was 112 degrees outside, and the room temp hit 95 before we caught it. All I had on hand were three box fans from a supply closet. Rigged them up to pull cool air from the office hallway and push the hot air out a vent. Kept the rack temps stable enough to avoid a shutdown until the HVAC guy got there two hours later. What's your go-to emergency cooling trick when the real system quits?

Call that the Arizona air conditioning special. Honestly, just glad you didn't have to explain melted servers to your boss.

Honestly that's a new level of desert survival tech right there. My old boss would just prop the door open and point a fan at the rack, which mostly just blew hot air around. Your hallway air heist is way smarter. Makes me think we should all have a box fan buried in the server room closet for exactly this kind of meltdown.
