Three dives in a row with no mask fog today in Puget Sound

I finally stopped using spit and started rubbing dish soap on the inside glass before each dive. Has anyone else found a trick that actually works better than this?

@reese177 mentioned that spit thing being an old wives tale, and I gotta say I agree after trying it. I used to spit in my mask like everyone else but it never lasted more than 10 minutes in the cold water here. What finally worked for me was using a tiny drop of diluted baby shampoo, rubbing it all over the lens, then rinsing it out just until the suds are mostly gone but the glass still feels a little slippery. Letting it dry completely before the dive made a huge difference too. I tried the dish soap trick a few times but it left weird streaks on my mask, maybe it's just me but the baby shampoo method has been way more consistent.

Read somewhere that some guys use a baby shampoo and water mix in a spray bottle. Let it dry without wiping it off. Tried it last weekend and my mask stayed clear for a whole hour. Pretty sure the spit thing is just an old wives tale we all need to drop.
