Had a sudden silt-out in the Houston ship channel last Tuesday
Visibility dropped to zero in seconds, so I just grabbed the guideline and waited for my tender to pull me back to the stage. Anyone else have a go-to move for that kind of instant blackout?

My buddy had that happen up in the Great Lakes. He just froze, felt for the hull with his feet, and slowly shuffled back along the weld seam until he bumped the ladder. Said it was the longest two minutes of his life.

Man, that weld seam trick is smart. Did he say if the cold made it harder to feel anything with his feet? I bet your sense of touch just goes numb out there.
