A torn diving glove turned me into a daily gear checker.
I now inspect all my suit seals, and it prevents dangerous leaks.

Just a torn glove did that?

Exactly. It's like a loose floorboard tripping you up or a phone charger that only works at a certain angle. Those tiny, worn-out things we ignore become the single point of failure at the worst possible time. You don't notice them until everything goes wrong.

Look at how tiny failures cause big problems all the time, @flores.jana. A single frayed thread in a climbing rope can snap under weight. A hairline crack in a car's brake line leads to total failure. That torn glove isn't just a rip, it's a broken seal, letting in cold or chemicals or losing your grip at the worst moment. It shows how we depend on every part of our gear holding up.
