Why does nobody talk about the complete waste of money that is variant comic covers?
I spent FORTY DOLLARS on a variant cover of X-Men #1 last month because the art looked cool, then found out it's worth maybe $3. The store owner laughed at me when I asked about its value. Has anyone else fallen for this trap with a specific issue or series?
