Was at a con in Phoenix last month and this guy in a Deadpool costume kept correcting everyone's comic lore.

He told a kid that Wolverine's claws were never part of his original design and the kid just walked away looking crushed, has anyone else dealt with a fan who ruins the fun like that?

Three years ago at a local convention, I just told the guy "cool story, I'm gonna go grab a slice of pizza" and walked away, it kills the vibe way faster than arguing. Honestly, some people get so caught up in being right they forget cons are supposed to be about having fun and sharing stuff. My go-to now is just a quick smile and a nod, then I turn my brain off and move on.

Oh man, @quinn_nguyen you totally nailed it with that pizza line, that's gold. I had this one guy at a comic con a few years back who wouldn't let go of why my favorite version of a character is better than his, just going on and on. I finally just put my hand up, said "hey, I'm happy you love it so much, but my brain check out at the door," and then I literally turned around and started talking to a vendor about a toy. The dude just stood there for a second and then wandered off, it was like I broke his spell or something. Way easier than trying to match his energy or prove a point, I just stopped feeding it and moved on.
