The long box tag trick that fixed my 'which bin' problem
I organize my pull list by character, not title. So I end up with about 30 long boxes in my basement, and trying to find a specific issue meant flipping through 3 or 4 boxes. Last month I started writing the character names and issue ranges on masking tape, then sticking that tape on the box lid's top edge. Now I can read them without pulling anything out. Cost me about 4 bucks for two rolls. My buddy says I should paint the boxes instead, but tape works and it's easy to swap when I rearrange. Anyone else got a cheap labeling system that doesn't look like a mess?

My buddy Mike tried spray painting his boxes once. Looked great for about a week, then the paint started flaking off and sticking to his hands every time he grabbed one. He went back to tape.
